Driven by a deep and innate need to constantly create, Vie is a creative in mind, body and soul. For Vie it is deeper than just music, it is creation. Growing up as an only child, Vie always created whether its drawings, sneaker designs, or written plays you can always count on Vie being a creative.
As an artist, Vie is a self-taught and motivated genius, he has such an energy and presence that fills every room he either walks into or is played in. His mastery in producing beats allows him the creative control and freedom to play with his deep, intriguing and entrancing voice that just reels you in to his word play and lyricism. He is always pushing the envelope with music as he creates everything with substance and intent. Often inspired by the things, people, and conversations around him, Vie often inspires greatness in others. True art form is never lost on him. As a natural born leader and creative Vie was entrusted by his team at Darkside Industries to lead them because of his mad, creative mind that is always connecting the dots. He just always seems to know who needs to be doing what and when for a seamless and effortless production. The sense of love and loyalty that is felt within the group fuels the hunger for all of them to be able to sit together at the cookout and eat.

After a decade of making music as individual artists, cousins Darryl J and Vie have cemented their familial bond with a collaborative EP entitled "CLEAVAGE." Throughout their respective careers the pair have worked side by side, encouraging each other's growth as artists and as men. That growth and development is on full display with this EP. They successfully blend their musical styles, showcasing an undeniable chemistry that effortlessly ushers in a new sound and pushes the envelope in the genre of urban music. Scored by in-house producer Mello Marc, "CLEAVAGE" began to take form during the 2020 lockdown as they cranked out records in their curated family home studio. By 2021 the project was taking its final form with help from media collective NADA MEDIA GROUP, specifically the additional production from Shehdaat Husain and sound engineering from Alex Elsammak who connected the missing pieces to make the EP complete. CLEAVAGE features performances from longtime collaborators and affiliates of DarkSide Industries: Kärma, Greg Rivers, and Savvy The Savior. The creative vision and art direction is provided by the talented Artsy Hoodrat - Jhoana G.
